If you are new to Sunset Avenue Baptist Church we want to welcome you. We are a big family of believers. What you will find at Sunset is people who will love you and encourage you in your walk through life. We want you to feel at home as soon as you arrive so we have provided some information to answer many of the questions you may have.
If you have children and want to use our nursery, we suggest you arrive 15 minutes before the service time posted. Even if you don't have children you will notice that people enjoy the time before services for fellowship. If you arrive early, we can get to know you and answer any questions you might have.
Where Do I Go and What Should I Expect?
The primary parking is on the West Side of the Building. When you arrive you will enter through the covered doorway. This will take you into the educational building. Greeters will be there to assist you. Straight through that building and out the other side you will find the walkway to our sanctuary. You will find that we are a people who enjoy our time together. We will probably be talking and laughing and getting ready for worship. Come on in and join us.
What About My Children?
If you spend any time with us, you will notice that we have LOTS of children and we love them. For services, we provide nursery for your newborns through age three. We provide 2 sections of children's worship; age four through kindergarten and a second group of first through third graders. All of our children four years and up participate with their families for the first part of worship and then leave mid-service for a time of dedicated teaching on their level.
Why Find a Sunday School Class?
The church is a body of believers who love one another and encourage one another. We do that best in community, and Sunday School classes are the way we develop those communities. At Sunset we have classes for people of all ages. We break up by age (or somewhere close, we won't ask if you don't). Our children meet in the educational building and the adults and teens meet in the newer fellowship facility behind the sanctuary and educational building. Ask any greeter or member and we'll help you find a great place to fit in.
