Missions

Acts 1:8 Mission Strategy
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth. (Acts 1:8, NASB)

We are a church that believes we have a responsibility to take the good news of Jesus Christ everywhere—from our neighborhoods to the nations.  This demands that we “get our hands dirty” in being personally involved in this mission.  If you’re looking for a place to “plug in” to what God is doing, we offer the following opportunities.

Our “Jerusalem” is Rocky Mount

We are doing much in our city to make much of Jesus.  First and foremost are our two ongoing ministries in the Kingsway and Stonegate communities.  We mentor, play games, share snacks, and share Jesus.  If you’d like to know more about Kingsway, contact Pastor David Stanford.  If you’d like to know more about Stonegate, contact Pastor Neil Woodcock.

Our “Judea” is North Carolina

We are currently seeking a partnership with a church planter in eastern North Carolina.  We will support the work of this church in seeking to plant other churches.  We will do so through financial help and through sending teams of volunteers to assist in the work.  If you’d like to know more, contact Pastor Robin Fisher.

Our “Samaria” is the U.S.

We have an ongoing partnership with a church plant in Boston.  Charles River Church is led by Pastor Josh Wyatt.  We support their mission to plant other churches in New England by financial support and be sending teams of volunteers to assist in the work.  If you’d like to know more, contact Pastor Steve Roberson.

Our “Remotest Part of the Earth” is South Asia

We have adopted a portion of one of the largest cities in South Asia, a city of over 22 million souls—most of whom have never heard the good news of Jesus.  We are working to see churches planted in this city.  We send teams of volunteers every year to assist in the work.  If you’d like to know more, contact Pastor Robin Fisher.
